Orr Springs Road is one of my go-to places to photograph when I am short on time and feeling the need to create. On this trip, I grabbed my Mamiya RZ67 Pro II and loaded an expired roll of T-Max 100 into it. The films expiration date was 1995 so I shot it ASA 25 to compensate for any loss of sensitivity that might have occurred. I don't currently own a light meter so I used an app on my phone to figure out the proper exposure times. I developed and scanned it myself, something I am no longer doing and will most likely be making a post on this subject soon.
This weekend I went for a walk downtown to make some photographs of some of the older homes in the area. While I was out walking, I guess a friend of mine saw me and thought that I must have broken down or something because he parked his car and came to check on me. That was cool, I guess, but it felt a little weird having someone check on me for merely walking down the street.
You are invited to join me next weekend for an informal photowalk of the downtown area near Black Oak Coffee Roasters. Starting at 10:00 am, on Sunday April 22, we'll head west on Scott Street into the streets behind the coffee shop. From there, we'll decide our path on the fly with the idea of being back to the coffee shop at around Noon.
