While driving home from an art opening last night in Hopland, I started to reflect on the fact that I don't write much anymore.
I used to "blog" a lot back in the day and I guess I stopped like most people did when social media began to take over our lives. It's weird because now that we're starting to see the results of putting the stories of our lives onto sites like Twitter and Facebook, I find myself disgusted by what they have become. It's time to get back into personal storytelling. Simply put, it's time to start blogging again.
Today is Saturday, which means that I don't have a lot of work to do unless something tragic happens. The rain has been relentless lately, and even though I love winter and the cold months, it's starting to take a toll on my creativity. I am hoping there will be a break soon that will give me enough time for me to go out and make some images with my new Pentax 6x7. I need to get familiar with that camera as soon as possible because moving to Medium Format has long been a dream of mine.
